Well, we now have less than 2 months before the dust is once again flying at the St George racecourse. The facility completed last year has become more refined with the turf spreading nicely and new trees being planted which will ensure the track is as pretty as a picture come July 23rd. This year we have our largest every swag of prize money available for the five race program, with the vast majority of our very generous sponsors sticking with us again. We're really looking forward to another cracking day and we hope you'll be joining in on the festivities! This is country racing!

November 16, 2015Anyone interested in being part of an exciting and growing club is encouraged to attend the St George Jockey Club's AGM on Wednesday, December 16th, at the St George Racecourse. We'll also host a BBQ dinner. With the first race rained out, and the second race almost rained out, the construction of the new shed and canteen facility and the upgrading of sections of the track, 2015 has been a very busy year for the St George Jockey Club. With almost all the work now complete, with a few minor jobs remaining, 2016 is shaping up to be a huge year for horse racing in St George. The club is keen to explore other ideas to utilize the upgraded venue, adding additional race events and options to make our St George race days even bigger and better in 2016. Come along, join the club, and be part of this dynamic club.
